White Space
I've always liked those pages that say This Page Intentionally Left Blank.
I never really understood these before, but now I realize that unregulated white space confuses people.

Midtown, Midday
On Tuesday, I had to go to a midtown meeting about some upcoming projects, but luckily was finished early. So I wandered over to Bryant Park, got an endive, pear and gorgonzola salad, ate in the sun, and found out the Frugal Traveler won a Webby.

Words About Pictures
On Friday, went into the studio to record a discussion about digital photography. We're now at the point where the outcome of film-versus-digital has been decided, so the more mature questions arise: what's actually different? has the role of the photographer changed? the function of the photograph? photography's place in society?

Bookmarks Lounge
A rainy Saturday night involved a visit to the The Library Hotel's Bookmarks Lounge at Madison and 41st. Always a pleasant stop, but since they close at midnight, if you intend to continue the literary theme you'll need to find your way to The Dead Poet.

Some Bad News
After returning from Toronto, the week went well enough, with a few minor glitches here and there. For example, at one of my jobs a pipe burst and completely soaked my desk and two computers.
